culpepper headshot.JPG (110834 bytes)Charlie Culpepper is the owner of Round Rock Industrial Equipment Company.  Charlie served on the Council for 12 years. He served as Mayor from 1993-1999. He was also Mayor Pro-Tem from 1990-1993. In addition to his Round Rock responsibilities, Charlie was Chairman of the Austin-San Antonio Corridor from 1998-1999 and a member of Austin Transportation Study Policy Advisory Committee. In October 1996, the past Mayor was recognized as Round Rock Citizen of the Year by the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce.  He has served the Round Rock Sertoma Club as a Gold Honor President. He is a past Vice-President of the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife Kathy, a retired teacher of 30 years, have two children-- Kristin Stevens, married to Sean; and Chris, a freshman at St. Edwards University.

Married to Larry Madsen in 1970.  Two children:     Jayme Madsen Massingill and Sarah Madsen Cox.  One granddaughter:  Faith Marie Cox.  My family moved to Round Rock in 1960. Graduated:  Round Rock High School (1969).  Attended Sam Houston State University and University of Texas, Austin (completed two years total)   Formerly:  Worked for Independent Insurance Agent for 7 years in Round Rock (1973-1980). Assisted husband in Home Building Business for 10 years (1980-1990).  Worked at RRISD for six years (1991-1997).   Employed at University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas (1997-2000).   Currently:  Work at home assisting Husband with Home Building Business.                 

Past Affiliations:  Charter member and officer of Sub- Junior Swingers Organization (1968-69), Member and officer of Chaparral Jr. Woman’s Club (1975-1985), Currently:   Co-Chair for Central Baptist Church Women’s Ministry (2002 to present)Officer on GCS (God is Center Stage) Ministries Board (1994 to present), Member of Round Rock Woman’s Club (1990 to present),

Larry and I are blessed to have been raised in a small town community and can boast that Round Rock is still our “home town” today.  Great effort has been made over the years by many caring citizens to retain that same “hometown” atmosphere today and the Chaparral Jr. Woman’s Club has played a major role in that effort.  Their positive representation in our community is a vital part of what every community must have to maintain the quality of living for today’s family.

Pat Patterson is the Executive Director of the Round Rock Volunteer Center and has held that position for the past fifteen years.  Through the Round Rock Volunteer Center, Pat also facilitates the Round Rock Coats for Kids and the Round Rock Coats for Kids Fun Run.   Currently she is on the board of directors for the Catholic Charities, board of Trinity Place Apt. and serving on a state task force to write Volunteer Standards for volunteer programs across the state of Texas.  Pat started volunteering as a young child through 4-H and volunteer service has always been important to her. Attended the University of Houston and was a home economist for the Amana Corp.   Pat is married to Harrold Patterson, and the mother of 3 children.  The Pattersons have lived in Round Rock for twenty-five years.

Shevawn Walzel

Shevawn Walzel moved to Round Rock with her husband Jack in 1990.  They have three teenage daughters.  Shevawn worked as a registered nurse for many years after receiving a B.S. degree from Texas Woman's University.  Currently she spends much of her time volunteering in the community for the Round Rock Caregivers and the Round Rock Serving Center . She is secretary for the Round Rock Community Foundation Board, a member of the Round Rock Woman's Club and the Williamson County Medical Alliance, and an associate member of Chaparral Woman's Club.  She teaches confirmation at First United Methodist Church and enjoys attending Bible studies.
